Privacy Policy — ARK Driver

Who we are

ARK Driver is a mobile application published by Ark Labs MChJ ("we", "us") for use by commercial truck drivers who work with or for carriers using the ARK TMS platform.

ARK Driver is a workforce application. It is intended for drivers who have an existing working relationship with a carrier that uses ARK TMS. Accounts are created by the carrier's dispatch office, not by the general public.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what information the ARK Driver mobile app collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and what control you have over it.

Information we collect

Account information

When your carrier creates your driver account, we process your name, email address, and the driver and equipment identifiers your carrier assigns to you (such as truck and trailer unit numbers). You use your email address and a password to sign in.

Location information

ARK Driver requests access to your location only while you are using the app. It is used to show your position on the truck map, calculate routes and mileage for loads assigned to you, and — if you choose to submit an incident report — to record where the incident occurred.

ARK Driver does not track your location in the background. The app does not collect location data when it is closed or not in use.

Photos and documents

The app uses your device camera and, if you choose, your photo library, so that you can capture and upload:

  • Proof of delivery, bills of lading, and other load paperwork
  • Receipts for expenses such as fuel, food, parking, and repairs
  • Maintenance and repair invoices
  • Photographs taken as part of a vehicle inspection or incident report

Images you capture are uploaded to your carrier's ARK TMS workspace and associated with the relevant load, expense, or maintenance record.

Work records you create

The app stores records you submit through it, including vehicle inspection results and odometer readings, expense entries, maintenance and repair logs, incident reports, duty status changes, and messages you exchange with your dispatcher.

Payment and settlement information

The app displays settlement statements and earnings prepared by your carrier.

Bank account details for direct deposit are not entered or stored in the app. When bank information is needed, the app opens a separate secure, single-use link where you provide those details directly.

Optional connected services

The app may offer optional connections to third-party services, such as Telegram-based services for drivers. These connections are made only if you choose to activate them. If you do, the relevant service will receive the information needed to link your account. Those services operate under their own privacy policies.

Technical information

We process basic technical information needed to operate the app securely, including your authentication session and, if you enable notifications, a device token used to deliver them.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide you with your assigned loads, routes, and schedules
  • Let you submit paperwork, inspections, expenses, and incident reports
  • Show your pay statements and earnings history
  • Let you communicate with your dispatcher
  • Support your carrier's regulatory recordkeeping obligations, including records required under United States Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
  • Keep the service secure and diagnose technical problems

Who your information is shared with

Your carrier. ARK Driver exists to connect you with the carrier you work with. Information you submit through the app — including paperwork, expenses, inspections, incident reports, and messages — is visible to that carrier's dispatch and back-office staff.

Service providers. We use third-party infrastructure providers to host the service and store data, including our database and file storage provider, and mapping and routing providers used to display maps and calculate routes. These providers process data on our behalf.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, legal process, or a governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of drivers, carriers, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

How long we keep information

Records relating to your work — including inspections, paperwork, and settlement records — are retained by your carrier for as long as required by applicable regulation and by the carrier's own recordkeeping policies. Certain motor carrier records are subject to retention periods set by federal regulation.

Your choices and rights

Permissions. You can grant or revoke camera, photo library, and location access at any time in your device settings. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.

Access and correction. You can view much of your information directly in the app. To request access to, or correction of, other information, contact us or your dispatch office.

Deleting your account. You can request deletion of your ARK Driver account from within the app, under Profile. You can also request deletion by writing to admin@runonark.com.

Please note that deleting your account removes your access to the app and your personal profile, but your carrier will retain work and compliance records that it is legally required to keep, such as inspection reports, settlement records, and documents required under FMCSA regulations. These are the carrier's business records and are retained independently of your app account.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information under applicable law. Contact us at the address above to exercise them.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encrypted transport, authenticated access, and access controls that limit records to your own carrier's workspace. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

ARK Driver is intended for licensed commercial drivers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

International users

The service is operated with infrastructure located in the United States and other jurisdictions. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by your carrier.
